8 Best Tourist Places in Dubai

Top Dubai Tourist Sites

Luxury, gold, wealth, magnificent buildings, and an impressive mix of cultures. This is Dubai, the city of the future. Located in the United Arab Emirates, it is one of the seven autonomous states that make up the country.

The city is always under construction. Every day the number of places to visit in the city grows, but I decided to separate the best tourist attractions in Dubai, those places that I liked the most and that I consider a must-see.

By including these places in your itinerary, you are going to experience the best experiences that Dubai has to offer: great monuments, Arab culture, and the wealth that shines in every corner of the city. I made a stopover in Dubai on my trip to Kerala in India and took the opportunity to get to know the city.

The climate of the region is hot and arid and the thermal sensation in summer can reach up to 57 degrees. So don’t forget to take the seasons into account when planning your trip to Dubai. Let’s go to the tips!

I recommend you do a full Tour of Dubai, where you will get to know each of its corners. The best of all is that it is in Spanish, so you will be able to ask the guide about everything.

Dubai mall

Opening the list of tourist attractions in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, opened in 2008, the Dubai Mall remains the largest in the world, occupying 1.1 million m².

The shopping center is separated by areas, such as shoe stores, jewelers or burkas. In this part of the Middle East, the most diverse articles are sold and it has the presence of the most recognized international brands.

As for gastronomy, it appeals to the most diverse tastes and budgets. The architecture of each floor is different and unique. Attractions also extend to the outdoor area, where a beautiful light and dancing water show takes place every half hour, lasting 10 minutes each. The show takes place every day between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

🕒 Hours: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday to Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 00 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday.

Burj Khalifa: the most popular of Dubai tourist spots

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and is located next to the Dubai Mall. You can visit both and see the water show on the same day. You can go up to the upper floors in two ways: eating at the At restaurant going up to the observation deck of the building.

The Atmosphere restaurant is located on the 122nd floor and its entrance is through the Armani Hotel. The At The Top observation deck is on the 124th floor and the entrance to the observation deck is through the Dubai Mall. Tickets can be purchased here. Prices vary between 125 and 150 dirhams, depending on the schedule.

🕒 Viewpoint hours: 8:30 to 23 hours from Sunday to Wednesday, Thursday to Saturday from 8:30 to 00 hours.

💵 Prices: Floors 152 to 154 cost 163 dollars, floor 148 cost 142 dollars, and going up to floors 124 and 125 costs 58 dollars.

Gold Market

Also called the Gold Souk, it comprises a wide variety of shops that sell gold and other precious gems. Even if you are not buying anything, it is a unique opportunity to see so many gold necklaces together that they weigh a few kilos.

To give you an idea, about 10 tons of gold pass through here every day. Despite so much luxury on the shelves, the place where the Gold Souk is located is in the Deira neighborhood, a fairly simple neighborhood. Expect no sophistication beyond the trimmings.

🕒 Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day except Friday, which is from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Spice Market

Located next to the Gold Souk, in the Spice Market you will find spices, herbs, incense, rose petals, medicinal products, teas, stones, and other natural merchandise.

The space has small shops scattered around the streets of the market. It is a paradise for those who like to cook and try new spices. Only the smell and the mixture of colors of the place are worth the visit. The advice to haggle a lot also applies to the spice market.

🕒 Hours: 07:30 to 21:30

Burj Al Arab: the most photographed of Dubai’s tourist spots

This hotel was for a long time the only one with a 7-star rating in the world. You can imagine the luxury, right? The daily rates are exorbitant and sadly, there is no possibility to enter the hotel just to see.

The only way to see the hotel from the inside without being a guest is to eat in one of the restaurants that it owns. So if you are willing to spend a little extra money to have this unique experience, it is really worth it. After all, Dubai is the most luxurious city in the world and you never know when you will have that opportunity again.

If you choose not to enter the hotel, there are nearby beaches where you can take beautiful pictures with the Burj Al Arab in the background.

Dubai Aqua venture Water Park

Located in the Atlantis The Palm resort, which sits on a palm-shaped island, the water park is a great option for hot days and for those traveling with children. You can also take advantage of the occasion to get to know the hotel facilities.

🕒 Hours: 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Sunday closed.

Dubai marina

Considered by some to be the best part of the city to stay, Dubai Marina is an exclusive area with incredible views. In addition to the marina, where millionaires’ yachts and boats are moored, The Walk, a boardwalk with restaurants, bars, shops, and cafes, is also nearby.

You cannot miss a dinner cruise through the Dubai Marina, truly dreamed of.

Mall of the Emirates

The Mall of the Emirates is the second largest shopping center in Dubai, just behind the Dubai Mall. What is most striking is that it has a 22,500 square meter ski area inside.

It is a unique opportunity to enjoy a cold of -4 degrees in the middle of the desert. You can practice skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, among other options. Ideal for those who are going to travel to Dubai with children.

🕒 Hours: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Wednesday. 10:00 to 00 hours from Thursday to Saturday.
